The Whiting Society has donated £1000 for the support of youth and university ringing and ringers. This is a generous and exciting development. We all realise how important attracting and retaining young ringers is to the future of bell ringing and there are a variety of ways that the money can be used to support these objectives. Alison Edmonds is pulling together a strategy and ideas for how to best get this donation working for youth, which will include our friends in the Central Council and Ringing World. Although there is no physical ringing at the moment, we will be looking at ways of using this donation to keep young ringers interested until we and they can ring together again.
