ART are very pleased to announce the Barrow-upon-Humber Ringing Centre (Lincolnshire) has become an ART Teaching Hub comprising Holy Trinity, Barrow-upon-Humber and All Saints, Elsham. This will be the fifth Hub to be created since their inception earlier this year and joins, Wellington (NZ), Hathern (Leics.), Northampton, and Loddon (Berks.).
ART are aware that a number of towers which are doing very good work, teaching to the ART Training Scheme and with the potential to become Teaching Centres fall short of the criteria that all teaching must be carried out by ART Members. To make sure that these efforts are recognised we have created ART Teaching Hubs along similar lines to Teaching Centres, acknowledging not all of the teachers will be ART Members but their teaching would be supervised by an ART Member.
Currently there are five Teaching Centres at Bardwell (Suffolk), Birmingham School of Bell Ringing, Docklands (London), Kineton (Warks.) and Marsworth (Bucks.).
