M1: 17 Nov 2018 - Barton under Needwood

I was quite keen to learn how to teach bell ringing, and someone told me about ART. So I joined one of their Module 1 'Teaching Bell Handling' Day Courses at Barton-under-Needwood.

The course started at 9.30 and ran all day until 5pm. We covered a mixture of theory and practise in the morning and again in the afternoon, so we didn't lose focus. It was really helpful to follow up on the theory with practical sessions, where we could put what we had learnt into practise.

There’s lots of information on the website and you could also purchase books and DVD's on the day, for both teachers and students.

There was tea and coffee making facilities at the church, as well as conveniences, and the whole day went really quickly. I left feeling very confident and enthusiastic about starting to teach.
