M1: 23 Mar 2019 - Rothwell

If you have been doing something for a significant amount of time, i.e. just over 10 years of bellringing for me, it becomes second nature. The thought of breaking it all down and starting to teach a new ringer was terrifying me.

However, the course with Gill Hughes has really helped to set me at ease. We covered plenty of theory and were given handy demonstrations and opportunities to practice all the aspects of training a new rope-pulling recruit!

I employed the techniques we learnt at Rothwell, just two days later, in my home tower and I can already see the benefits of everything we were taught.

I, and I'm sure others who attended, can't wait to progress with the accreditation process and begin working to ensure that bellringing has a bright future ahead.
